MCFCDC will partner with the National Project for the Advancement of Black Males, Inc. (NPFABM), an Atlanta-based organization, to secure YouthBuild and JOLI (Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals) funding to support the job training component of this project.
YouthBuild is a community-based alternative education and workforce development program for youth ages 16 to 24, including high school dropouts, adjudicated youth, youth aging out of foster care, homeless youth, youth with disabilities, and other disadvantaged populations. In YouthBuild programs across the United States and internationally, low-income young people gain construction skills that enable them to help build affordable housing and community assets such as schools and community centers.
